To get to Cherokee High School from:

  
Route 70 East:


Take 70 East, Cross OVER Rt 73,

R at 6th light onto North Elmwood

Cross over Main St. (pass Indian Springs Golf Course on R then around bend)

Light at Tomlinson Mill Rd

Go straight into the Cherokee high school parking lot  OR

Turn L for Marlton Middle parking lot

 

Route 73 South:


Cross OVER Rt 70 (Do not turn L here. L turn light only 10 seconds!)

R at 3rd light onto jug handle for Rt 544 - Marlton Parkway (after Bradley Funeral Hone)

    In NJ, you often have to go right to go left!  Go figure!

Parking

Parking, as usual, will be tight but adequate to accommodate all in marked parking spaces. Check where your team is playing and park accordingly as suggested below:

 

Fields 2 - 7: park at Jaggard Elementary School : 2 Wescott Rd, Marlton  08053

Fields 1, 8 - 11: park at Cherokee High School

Fields 12 -15, park at Marlton Middle School

It is important that teams park only in designated areas and respect all parking staff and signage.  Cars parked on neighborhood streets, fire lanes, no parking zones or other illegal areas will be FINED and/or TOWED by local police. We ask that teams carpool whenever possible in order to reduce the volume of cars at each site.

 

Several drop-off zones are designated on the Site Map, which will allow vehicle access for drop-off’s only (athletes, tents, etc.).  No parking will be permitted in these areas and vehicles may not be left unattended.    

 

FREE Admission

Admission is FREE for everyone. play., the tournament program will be available at the Synapse Sports black star tent. Be sure to pick one up!

 

Team Tents

Team tents will be permitted ONLY on the perimeter of the venue, the outer rim

by the trees and along outside fences, away from all fields, buildings & walkways.

 

Safety & Conveniences

·         Toilets are plentiful and strategically located near the fields.

·         Trash cans will be everywhere – please use them!       

·         Trainers are on the field for first aid only- NOT FOR TAPING.

·         Dogs are NOT permitted on the grounds – local authorities will escort you from the premises if you have a dog.  PLEASE LEAVE YOUR DOG AT HOME.

·         Don’t forget the sunscreen.

·         Grills, and the cooking that goes with them, are prohibited.

 

Team Check-In

The coach of EACH team or club MUST CHECK IN at the Synapse Sports black star tent before your first game. Two coaches per team will check the status of the team, collect the programs and get any last minute directions.

Waivers must be recorded or your team will not be permitted to take the field.

 

Food/Entertainment

Cherokee High School Boosters will staff the school concession stand selling everything from wraps to Chik-Fil-A .  Supplementing their offerings will be Chesapeake Foods (sausage & peppers, chicken pita & Philly cheese steak) and J-Dogs featuring- guess what?- hot dogs along with funnel cakes, chicken fingers, crab cakes, deep fried Oreos and mini melts ice cream.

Sno-cone trucks strategically placed throughout the venue.

Breakfast offerings will be available both mornings beginning at 6:30 AM.

Gatorade, the official sports drink sponsor, will bestow the G award to all divisional winners, recognizing those athletes as displaying G: heart, hustle and soul!  In addition, 1 case of Gatorade will be provided to each team upon check-in.  Gatorade coolers will also be on each sideline for athletes to fill up throughout the tournament.  Athletes will also be introduced to the new G-Series product line including PRIME (pre-game fuel), PERFORM (original Gatorade) and RECOVER (post-game protein drink).

Locks of Love provides hairpieces to children with medical hair loss.  We encourage athletes and fans alike to donate their locks to this worthy cause. Hairstylists from Rizzieri Master Salon will be onsite to cut your locks for love on Saturday from 11AM – 2PM at the DJ booth. All ages and hair types welcome!

 

Competition

  • Each field is lined to regulation size.
  • Water and Gatorade will be provided on each field. Please bring your own water bottle to fill.

·         A leader board, by division of play, will be posted near the Black Star tent and updated

      to keep track of  tournament scores. Pool winners will advance to the first round.

  • Tournament rules are listed in the program. US Women’s Lacrosse rules (full checking included) will be followed at ALL levels of play.
  • A field marshal will be on EACH field to maintain communications and to report the score to the official scorer after EACH game via walkie talkie.
  • The division in which your team will play was selected by your club administrator upon registration. Your team has been placed in the best competitive situation within your grade levels.
  • National Draw is a competitive event. EACH team will be challenged to play at a high level. To win a national championship your team must be able to compete with every team in that division. The best team will prevail- whether it’s over teams comprised of older or younger athletes.

 

Inclement Weather

While we can only hope for glorious weather next weekend – please understand that there is no Plan B in the event of inclement weather.

·         As with any outdoor event, competition is subject to the elements. Tournament play may be suspended or cancelled in its entirety as a result of inclement weather or field safety conditions.

·         Safety dictates that competition will cease if thunder is heard or lightning is spotted.

·         Games will re-start, in real time, 20 minutes after the last bolt was sighted or sooner if the sky clears.

Sportsmanship

Sportsmanship RULES at Synapse Sports events. Anyone violating the good sportsmanship expected of all players, coaches, fans and parents will be promptly presented with a Purple Card and escorted from the venue.

 

Shoplifting

Shoplifting* is a CRIME and will not be tolerated at womenslacrosse.com events. 

Law enforcement officials will be monitoring LAXMALL activities. 

 

Anyone caught shoplifting will be immediately expelled from the tournament and will be denied participation in future Synapse Sports sponsored tournaments.  The continued participation of the shoplifter’s team may also be jeopardized.  Vendors are encouraged to prosecute shoplifters under the full extent of the law.  

 

* Per New Jersey Law the following acts are considered shoplifting: (1) taking away merchandise (or transferring merchandise from the container in which it is displayed to another container) with the intention of paying less than the full price to the merchant (2) hiding merchandise on your body or something you are carrying with the intention of not paying for it; (3) removing, altering, or transferring a price tag with the intention of paying less than the full price to the merchant. 

 

We strongly suggest that parents and coaches reiterate this policy to players in advance as there will be no exceptions.

Rain Policy

Should the tournament fall short of completion, womenslacrosse.com reserves the right, at their sole discretion, to issue partial refunds.
